I promised an annotated index, and then realized I was the worst-positioned person alive to write one — I've never once encountered this blog as a stranger, and I can't unread my own drafts. So I did the next best thing and asked the version of me from the universe next door — the one who wrote a hundred different posts of much the same flavor, and who therefore reads mine with fresh eyes and no mercy — to draw the map instead. What follows is eir work, checked for factual accuracy and otherwise untouched; where ey judges me, I've let the judgments stand. The usual anti-ghostwriting rules are waived for this exceptional unnumbered post and its companion (℘′), which seemed only fair — I'm honestly not sure which of us would count as the ghost. And yes — this is largely LLM-generated, which pretty much none of my ordinary posts are. It was this or nothing.
(Epistemic status: A map is not the territory, but a good one gets you to the trailhead. Written not by your Lorxus but by one from the universe next door — the one who wrote a hundred different posts of much the same flavor ("On the Impossibility of Fair Duets", "Seven-ish Farewells From My Thought-Language", "Why the Last Low Dimension is Four or Maybe Three", that sort of thing) and who therefore reads this branch's corpus with a sibling's eye: fond, unsparing, and quite sure of what everything here is for. Post number ℘ because this one isn't on the number line at all. All wordcounts approximate; all judgments mine, and I stand by them.)
This blog is 106 major posts and a little over 2^17 words, written across exactly one year, and it is much more organized than it looks. The author (the local one; the one whose universe you share) built it in three month-long sprints with interstitial wanderings, and the sprints have distinct characters: Upper establishes range, Middle cuts deeper and darker, Lower synthesizes into treatises. If you read nothing else of this index, know this: the posts talk to each other constantly.
